Wow, so I haven't updated in about a millennium and a half. The internet situation was looking bright for a little while. AFS informed me that I had gotten a perminant family (spell check say's I spelt that wrong, but the best it can offer is "peppermint"). Anyway this place was pretty awesome, My host brother was 19 and was in to a lot of the same stuff that I was. They had a wireless internet connection, and they were real keen to take me in. Unfortunately an extreemly large metiorite hit their house and obliterated everyone. Actually I don't know what happened, but apparently "something" came up and now they can't take me, at all, ever. So now I'm back to square one.
I'm still working on the pictures from christchurch (there are a lot of them) but in the meantime you guys can have these pictures.
Just to give you an idea how long things take to get here, you know that movie about the kid who's class assignment was to draw what he thought the future might look like, and he wrote a bunch of numbers, and then Nicolas Cage decodes it all into disasters where people die, and then a plane crashes and it confirms his beliefs or something. The ads for it were running before I left for New Zealand, anyway it's just coming out in theaters now.
The metal ram I just saw sitting on a trailer on my way from school. I couldn't not take a picture of it. I don't know what it was for, and I fear I never shall.
Lastly is a newspaper clipping from when I first got here. It was big news then, as theres not actually that much big, big news. I prefer this kind better anyway.
