Really I've got nothing to report, I just thought that it had been a little while since I had last posted and I thought I should let you guys know I'm not dead. I'm on holiday right now, and managed to get a cold going right into it, perfect timing really. All the exchange students that started half a year earlier than me just left. I've been doing my best to stay off of the internet (long day's with nothing to do are very dangerous when you pay for internet by the gig, not by the month). Anyways Mom (thanks) just sent me my Sims 2 discs from home. I figured out that I never actually had the original game disc, so I had to go out and buy one and I picked up some other expansion packs while I was there (It's an "old" game now that Sims 3 is out so it's cheaper, and the local game store is having a big sale which apparently entails covering every unoccupied cranny of their store with big red-and-white plastic "SALE" signs (I'm not exercising my use of hyperbole, I'm serious, every square inch)).
Any way, now that I've got a character that can live indefinitely sitting on her throne of darkness that she made for herself (Sims apartment life, it restores stats constantly) happy as a cloud (she now has a permanent platinum aspiration for achieving her lifetime want of becoming a crime lord) stopping every fifteen days or so to chug a water cooler full of "elixir of life" bought with her massive supply of aspiration points (she's already lived about one and a half lifetimes). She's also mastered every skill, is able to purchase any career reward, her needs decay at about half the rate of normal Sims (not that that matters when she's sitting on her throne) and she's written so many novels I ran out of ideas for titles. She also owns a helicopter. So yeah, when I said in my facebook post I "beat" the Sims, I'm pretty sure that wasn't a hyperbole either
And that's been my week so far. I think I'm going to go back to books for a while now that I've depleted that source of entertainment (for a little while any way). I just thought I'd let you guy's know before I dropped out of my blog again. I promise you I haven't forgot about it, I've been thinking about what I should write for a while, just really, nothing has happened.

ReplyDeleteThat sounds cool, Ben- how did you say you get her stats to replenish again? I just want to be clear, cause that is something I would love to know how to do. I would play a lot more. I basically stopped because I got tired of all of my play basically being a race against the stat clock : P
Also, just to pick on you for fun: "exorcising"- ha! So, just to confirm, you are not ridding yourself of the demon of hyperbole? ; )
